I followed you here from your post on nappturality. I did a post on Itching - http://carmennc.blogspot.com/2007/03/it-itches.html Go ahead and wash it, but make sure you braid and band. I think the itching is from all the handling and exposure the scalp goes through during installation. I tried a variety of oils and they provided temporary relief, but it wasn't until I washed that my scalp said, "AHHH!!!"
Hey lady...welcome aboard to hair freedom. You are going to be happy with the choice you've made. I've almost been sl'd for a year and I just wish I had done it sooner. Keep pics coming.
